What is it?

And after Tequila?

The first bioplastic straw made with the waste left over for the production of a distillate:
The Agave fiber with which Tequila is made
The hospitality industry, especially that of the mixology, day by day strives to become more sustainable through the elements of daily use for a single use,
especially plastic material highly polluting and that it takes to biodegrade more than 200 years.

Bioplastics are materials that come partially or totally from renewable sources, unlike plastics that come from oil (finite, non-renewable resource).

This straw is a sustainable alternative to traditional plastics offering the same performance without added flavors, while reducing the carbon footprint of the products and the companies that consume them. The fibers of the agave bagasse, considered as waste of the tequila industry, serve as reinforcement for the bioplastic straw, providing good properties to the product and reducing its weight, while replacing a part of the plastic with renewable sources.

The end of life of the straws, is also 100% recyclable which allows us to give way to the Circular Economy and real sustainability of the materials.
A 100% Mexican product, which gives a sustainable alternative to our beverages, through a non-food waste.
